Hi, I’m Jessie.
When I was in year 6, I wrote a speech about how much I hated ads (how dare they interrupt my Australian Idol viewing, IYKYK). The irony is I won the public speaking competition and I now work in advertising. I think that’s mostly because I’m passionate about making more interesting ads that less people despise. But it’s also got a tiny bit to do with putting a $20k comms degree to good use.
For the last 5 years I've been honing my craft as a copywriter on Gadigal Land in Sydney. From sending awkward comedians on unexpected adventures in Vanuatu, to making cannons that explode Shapes flavouring, to writing funky jingles for a Super company. I love making work that solves real problems with creativity. I think 11-year-old me would be proud.
